Responsibilities
As an Automotive Mechanic, your duties may include the following:
- Discuss work requirements with supervisors
- Inspect motors while in operation
- Review and interpret work orders
- Road test motor vehicles
- Test automotive systems and components
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications
- Perform scheduled maintenance services
- Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
